As the Fairy Dust Settles - Kidd's Kids Trip 2009!

Now that Tinker Bell’s fairy dust has started to settle from the amazing time we had on the 2009 Kidd’s Kids Trip to Walt Disney World, I wanted to send a quick note to thank each and every one of you for your continued commitment and dedication to our organization. With your support, we were able to take 55 Kidd’s Kids and their families on what was our largest and most rock star trip yet!

I can not even begin to list the countless number of volunteers and partners that have given their time, sweat, and sometimes tears to help make this year’s trip one of the best to date! We would not be possible to create such a feeling of “suspended reality” for these special medical needs children and their entire families during our fantastically fun-filled five-day trip to the most magical place on earth.

Please take a moment to reflect on the fact that you were instrumental in making a deserving sick child feel “normal” and on top of the world. A feeling that most of children have never felt and may never feel again in their very medically challenged lives. If you have not had a chance, please visit our website, www.KiddsKids.com, and laugh and cry with us as you recount the events of this year’s trip. We have posted photos, videos, and blogs from some of the attendees documenting their experience and explaining how Kidd’s Kids has changed their lives.

Year after year, I am constantly amazed by the generosity and magnitude of our volunteers, partners, and donors in the giving of their resources to ensure that every child on the trip returns with memories that will last our Kidd’s Kids families the rest of their lives! Thank you does not even come close in expressing our sincerest gratitude.

Thank you for all that you do in helping us to enrich the lives of children suffering from a terminal, chronic or other special medical need.
Continued Blessings and Much Love
Derrick

Welcome To Kidd's Kids

I founded Kidd's Kids in 1991 with the hope of making a difference in the lives of terminally and chronically ill children. Each year, Kidd's Kids offers five amazing days of suspended reality to children whose lives have been ravaged by disease. Kidd's Kids children and their families are given the chance to experience the exuberance of being "normal." That is the gift that you and I can offer by supporting the Kidd's Kids organization.

Signed,

Events
