Hi Michelle. Thank you for the post, I am happy that you told me of your special needs child. I am a Special Education Paraprofessional in the public school system here in Louisiana and work with special needs children and I LOVE it. As a survivor, I realize that in our world it doesn't have to be perfect for all but just perfect for what we can do with what we have. I was told that once and did not have a clue of what that actually meant until I began to work with these kids. They are all special and unique in their own way. Most just need to be understood whether that be the autistic child or just a child that needs that little extra help. I am so proud of your dad and what he has accomplished being able to say "I survived". Again, thanks for the comment.
