My sister has a 2 year old, he has OTC Urea Cycle Defect. She is unable to work due to his illness. She takes him 3 times a week to therapy in Dallas and was getting assistance to pay for gas but they have know stopped. Every goverment help that is available she has tried to get on, either she gets it for a short time or they have denied her because she does not work. The recently issued him a wheelchair to help with his progress. She can not leave because the car she has is not able to accomodate the wheelchair. She makes hairbows to get food money. That doesn't get her bills paid and barely feeds them. But at least she is trying to do something for income. We have set jars out to collect money, we get $40.00 or so a week from them. I am unable to help her fully and the rest of the family has done alot also. But we are all unable to get everything accomplished.
If anyone has any suggestions of raising money or anyone that has contacts that deal with helping out please let me know.
I appreciate all the help we can get for her family. If you need more information regarding this family please do not hesitate to contact me.
